Mel Brooks came out with a classic TV series titled “Get Smart” in the mid-1960s.
It revolved around Maxwell Smart, an intellectual but bumbling spy working for the CONTROL agency who battled the evil forces of a rival spy agency named KAOS with the help of his competent partner Agent 99.
The Wood River High School and Middle School Drama Departments will present an adaptation of “Get Smart” for the stage Wednesday through Saturday, Oct. 2 through 5, at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater at the Community Campus in Hailey.
It stars Max Gardenswartz, Sarah Feltman, Juliette Rollins and Ramsey Marquis.
Wednesday and Thursday’s shows begin at 6 p.m.; Friday’s at 7 p.m. and Saturday’s at 1 p.m. All the shows will be held at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater.
Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for seniors, veterans and high school students, $3 for middle school students and $1 for elementary students. They're available at the door.
The play is adapted by Christopher Sergel from the TV series by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry.
