Highway 75 has been closed between Timmerman Rest area and Shoshone due to a brush fire. The actual closure is just north of West Magic.

The fire was about 20 acres in size as of 4 p.m.

Firefighters from several fire departments, including Wood River Fire & Rescue, Sun Valley, Bellevue and Carey, are on the scene.

EDITOR'S NOTE: The highway was reopened at 5 p.m., although motorists were advised to use caution as it was smoldering near the road. It had burned about 27 acres by that time.
