Chamber to Toast Accomplishments at Annual Banquet
The Hailey Public Library is among the organizations that have the Customer Service Award in the past. And librarians stepped up to the plate during the Halloween Hoopla on Thursday, doling out candy and trick-or-treat bags to young angels, goblins, dinosaurs and even a few big fish.

The Chamber of Hailey and the Wood River Valley will celebrate the businesses and individuals that make the Wood River Valley great in a fun-filled Awards Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 14.

The Chamber’s Annual Dinner and Awards Banquet will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at Penny’s Barn at Mountain Humane.

Awards will be made in five categories, said Chamber President Todd Hunter: Customer Service, Business of the Year, Community Improvement, Non-Profit of the Year and Community Service.

Seventeen nominations were made this year. Members may vote online through Sunday, Nov. 3.

“We want the event to be a celebration—a-celebration of the accomplishments of our members and our community,” said The Chamber’s Executive Director Mike McKenna.

Food will be provided by KB’s Burritos with beer from Warfield Distillery & Brewery and wine from Vino Valet. R.L. Rowsey and Wood River High School’s Enchante will provide music. And there will be a Wood River Valley Trivia contest, door prizes and a new member raffle.

“We are working to make this a fun event,” said Event Committee Chairman Richard Stahl.

Reservations may be made online at or by calling the Chamber at 208-788-3484. Tickets are $35 per person.
