Demi Moore, who has long had a home in the Wood River Valley, will discuss her New York Times No. 1 Best-seller “Inside Out” during an Evening with Demi Moore on Saturday, Dec. 7.
The event is a fundraiser for the John C. Glenn Legacy Fund and Company of Fools.
It will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at The Liberty Theatre in Hailey.
Moore, who starred in such movies as “Ghost,” “A Few Good Men,” “G.I. Jane” and St. Elmo’s Fire,” will join Company of Fools Founder Denise Simone on the John C. Glenn stage for an intimate evening of conversation and recollections.
Returning to the stage of The Liberty Theater is a homecoming of sorts for Moore. She and Bruce Willis bought the Liberty Theater when they first moved to the Wood River Valley. They invited Denise Simone and Rusty Wilson to journey west from Richmond, Va., to set up shop in the Sun Valley area. Then, they gifted the theater to the Fools in 2007.
Moore was a hands-on owner, dropping in to figure out what kinds of curtains to bequeath the theater while play rehearsals and newspaper interviews were taking place.
She and John Glenn had a mutual love of style, color and the power of theater. They worked together on several productions at the Liberty, including the company’s 2001 production of “Side Man,” for which Demi found the perfect power-blue tuxedos. She also designed the costumes for many shows, including “The Philadelphia Story.”
The audience will have an opportunity to ask questions following the conversation between Simone and Moore. And audience members will receive a copy of her new memoir.
Ticket options include one involving a catered post-event reception with Demi and a keepsake photo. Tickets run from $50 to $250. For information, visit www.sunvalleycenter.org or call 208-726-9491.
