Friday’s films include:

The film celebrates the history of the route, first skied in 1964, while asking how the impact on such places should be managed as they gain popularity.
  • “Annuli,” which follows two hunters chasing caribou and Dall sheep in the wilderness of the far north.
  • “Originate,” Sun Valley’s Stellar Media production, follows Michelle Parker as he comes off an injury to rip big lines in Alaska.
  • “The Quiet Force” takes viewers skiing with Latino kids, as well as to the U.S./Mexico border and Washington, D.C., while exploring the complexity of immigration policy and its relevance to mountain communities.

    Saturday’s films include:

  • “Martin’s Boat”—award-winning Banff filmmaker Peter McBride’s film celebrating the legacy of Martin Litton, a legendary boatman on the Colorado River. The film follows Duffy Dale who as he tries out a wooden dory named Marble Canyon built in Litton’s honor.
  • “Shaped by Descent” spotlights Sun Valley’s Lexi duPont’s Alaskan skiing opus.
  • “Montana Nosebleed: Ten years of Hucks and Heartbreaks” is Sun Valley’s Axel Peterson’s ode to the Bridger Brigade, which travels the world in search of the best snow and the sickest lines.
