What are the most popular Christmas carols?
That would include “Joy to the World,” “The First Noel” and “O Come All Ye Faithful,” according to surveyors.
Chances are you’ll hear these and others when the Caritas Chorale presents five concerts over the coming week.
The Chorale will kick things off at 5:30 p.m. tonight—Friday, Dec. 6—following the lighting of the Hailey Christmas tree at the Blaine County Courthouse.
That’ll serve up as a warmup for the centerpiece of their holiday offerings—two free “Holiday Sounds” concerts tonight and Saturday, Dec. 6 and 7.
Tonight’s concert will be held at 7 p.m. at the Wood River High School Performing Arts Theater at the Community Campus. Saturday’s will be held at 3 p.m. at the same theater.
“Caritas will sing an abundance of contemporary arrangements of holiday classics with a couple of brand new songs added to the mix,” said Director R.L. Rowsey.
Come next weekend the Caritas will hold its Holiday Sing Along at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Sun Valley Road in Ketchum.
The sing along will be staged at 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 14 and 15. People are encouraged to bring nonperishable food and/or donations to benefit The Hunger Coalition, said Caritas President Richard Stahl.
