Learn about efforts to improve the forest health on and adjacent to Bald Mountain ski area during an Open House from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 9, at Ketchum’s Community Library.
The Open House will be repeated from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, at the Community Campus in Hailey.
Representatives from the Ketchum Ranger District and the BLM Shoshone field office will be on hand to answer questions about proposals to remove insect-infested, diseased and dead trees, improve forest health, increase resilience to disturbance, reduce hazardous fuels and initiate regeneration of forest stands.
The two agencies hope to gather comments regarding an environmental assessment on their shared stewardship project during the open houses.
