Idaho was the fourth state in the country to give most women in the state the right to vote. Its did so on Nov. 3, 1896—about 25 years before the 19th amendment was ratified on Aug. 18, 1920. Only Wyoming, Utah and Colorado gave women the right to vote earlier.
