It’s been a sad week.
Beloved members of our Sun Valley community have died. Dozens more have become very ill. Hundreds have been laid off work. And all of us in this tightly knit community, who prize our social interaction more than most communities, have had to step back from one another in order to take care of one another.
Flourish Foundation has stepped up to create a “heartmind booster” to help Wood River Valley residents get through the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Foundation has created a digital care package that features reflective practices designed to support children, teens and adults.
“Finding a Peaceful Place” is designed for those in kindergarten through second grade. “Friendly Wishes” is for second- through fourth-graders. “Self Inspection and Emotional Release” is for fourth-and fifth-graders and “Finding Safe Harbor” is for those in sixth and seventh grades.
Those for older teens and adults include “Coming Back from Negative Thinking,” “Compassion During Uncertainty,” “Practice for Breathing into Fear” and “Hand Washing for Peace.”
