Hailey Coffee Company is teaming up with The Hunger Coalition to provide nutritious breakfasts for those in need during the coronavirus pandemic.
Santos Serva, owner of coffee shops in Ketchum and Hailey, is donating 50 granola meals every week to The Hunger Coalition. And YES BAR Company, which is based in San Francisco is donating an additional 50 snack bars as part of the Make a Difference at Breakfast program.
“I want to do my part and believe a good healthy meal consisting of both a granola breakfast and a YES BAR will help people start their day on a positive note,” said Serva. “The Hunger Coalition is doing a great job serving the undernourished in the community and we are happy to join forces with them.”
The YES BAR is a healthy snack bar that is plant-based, paleo, vegan and free of GMOs, gluten, grains, dairy, corn, soy, eggs and peanuts. They come in six flavors, including Coffee ‘n’ Chocolate, Strawberry Coconut and Black Sesame Sea Salt. And they contain half the sugar of an apple.
“Food that’s good and good for you is extra critical for families in crisis,” said Jeanne Liston, executive director of The Hunger Coalition. “We are so grateful for the partnership with Hailey Coffee and YES bars that will provide the energy and joy of a great breakfast.”
Hailey Coffee Company was founded in 2005 and now serves breakfast and lunch, in addition to coffees and teas. Online orders can be placed at www.haileycoffeeco.com.
The YES BAR Company was founded in 2012 by a mother who wanted to develop an energy bar for her son with food sensitivities. For every YES bar purchased in May at www.theyesbar.com the company will donate a box to health care professionals in Los Angeles and San Francisco.
