“Summer’s End-The Draper Rendezvous” had hardly been canceled by the coronavirus pandemic before it was rescheduled—to 2021.
The concert, previously scheduled for the week of August 17-23, 2020, has been bumped to Monday, Aug. 23, to Sunday, Aug. 29, 2021 by promotor Luke Henry, aka DrSwanMusic.
The lineup will still include previously booked bands such as Thunderpussy, The Mother Hips, and Kitchen Dwellers. About 70 other musical acts will also be involved creating a bigger, better, and safer Summer’s End. Additionally, the main festival will be held over two days Aug. 28-28, at Lion’s Park in Hailey.
“It’s the right thing to do,” said Henry.
To fill the void this summer, DrSwanMusic will produce and aid artists with virtual livestreams to give back to the musicians who need it the most, Henry said.
“We will promote bands, small businesses and every moving part involved, to help spread awareness and to aid those affected by the loss of the festival,” he added.
Current ticket holders for the 2nd Annual Summer’s End--The Draper Rendezvous will be contacted and given the option for a refund or an upgraded two-day 2021 festival pass, koozie, festival printed poster, VIP access, and a custom water bottle for rolling over and transferring to the event next year.
“I hope this will helping ensure the love and music never stops at Summer’s End,” Henry said.
