BCRD’s FitWorks will reopen its doors on Monday, June 15.
BCRD Recreation Director Jenna Vagias said members will note plenty of fresh paint and a sparkling clean facility. The BCRD has also moved some exercise equipment into the group exercise room and roped off some treadmills to allow those working out to spread out.
Since the Community Campus itself is closed, members will be asked to enter through the back doors, walking along a one-way path that will take them through the gym to promote physical distancing. They’ll be asked to wash their hands at an outdoor sink and don a face mask upon entering.
People do not need to wear a face mask while working out, Vagias said.
Lockers rooms will be available for handwashing and restroom use—exercisers should bring their own towel, water bottle and be dressed to work out.
A few fitness classes will be held on the south field adjacent to the Community Campus at 9 a.m. Mondays through Thursdays. And a full lineup of live online fitness classes will continue to be offered through Zoom.
Annual memberships will have three months added to their account, and other membership plans will be adjusted to reflect the shutdown, as well. Day-use drop-in patrons will be allowed.
CAMPION ICE HOUSE TO PROVIDE RESPITE FROM SUMMERTIME

An Overspeed Hockey camp for adult will be offered July 17-19 and youth camp sessions July 20-24 and July 27-31.
