Girls on the Run is seeking coaches for its Fall 2020 season.
The season is set to kick off in mid-September at several Blaine County and Twin Falls County schools.
This fall will feature a hybrid program for third- through fifth-graders and sixth- through eighth-graders.
The eight-week program will include the traditional Girls on the Run practices after school involving team-building games, chats about things like self-esteem and short runs. Each will feature two to three volunteer coaches with teams of up to 15 girls.
If schools are forced to close, Girls on the Run plans to continue practices with a virtual set of lessons connecting coaches to their girls from their homes, said Bridget Posson, executive director of the organization.
Coaches need not be runners, as the program is about much more than running.
