A remote golf tourney raised more than $19,000 for the local chapter of the National Alliance on Mental Illness and suicide prevention.
Twenty-four players turned out for the tournament, competing from their home courses at their convenience during the month of September and entering their scorecards via the 18Birdies app.
Sixty-two Wood River Valley businesses and organizations sponsored the tournament.
First-place honors went to Team Campion, composed of Lynn Campion, Happy Hawn, Jami Adrian and PK Murphy.
Second place went to Team Dunn, composed of Jolie Dunn, Janet Bostick, Jacki Dameral and Janet Appleton.
Third place went to Team Shipley, and it truly was the Shipley team as it was composed of Larry Shipley, Tyler Shipley, Brittany Shipley and Gavin Shipley.
Janet Bostick won first net place among women and Creighton Arial, first place among men.
The Individual gross winner went to Janet Bostick and Creighton Arial.
“This is truly a testament to the increased awareness and support of mental wellness in our community,” said Christina Cernansky, NAMI’s director.
