A virtual Wild Game Dinner will take the place of the in-person affair this year as the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation presents its 44th annual fundraiser.

The fundraiser raises money to make ski and snowboard programs accessible for more than 700 students.

The event will be held Dec. 5 and will include a Rotarun Rip-A-Thon, silent auction and “To-Goat” boxed game dinners prepared by Warfield Distillery in Ketchum.

SVSEF Executive Director Scott McGrew and NBC Sports Analyst Steve Porino, a SVSEF board member, will serve as emcees.

They will shine the spotlight on team members from every discipline—alpine, cross country, big mountain, freestyle, freeski and snowboard—who are trying to gain as much vertical feet as possible to raise funds in what’s being dubbed a Rotarun Rip-A-Thon.

They’ll also introduce curated team videos, Bingo for airline miles, a raffle drawing and a paddle up. The silent auction will close at 9 p.m. the night of the dinner.

To-Goat boxed game dinners, delivered ready-to-heat-and-eat, will feature a quartet of sausages with smoked elk, duck with cranberries, wild boar with anise and venison with black pepper served with house-made grain mustard. Accompaniments will include wild foraged mushroom rillette with white truffle oil, butter-roasted Yukon Gold potatoes, Bavarian sauerkraut with black caraway, sweet dark and light baguettes and dessert from Rasberry’s.

Beverages include a six-pack of Warfield Distillery and Brewery’s beer and a bottle of wine of the purchaser’s choice.

Dinner tickets are $200 for two, available at http://sunvalleyskied.wpengine.com/events/

Those who would like to make a donation or take advantage of sponsorship or advertising opportunities can contact Event Director Amanda Porino at aporino@svsef.org or 208-726-4129.
