Ketchum Community Dinners is cooking up a hot meal this Wednesday.
The first hot meal since the COVID pandemic started will be served from 5 to 6 p.m. tonight at St. Thomas Episcopal Church on Sun Valley Road.
The meal will include such summer favorites as hot dogs, brats, baked beans, sauerkraut, macaroni salad, a garden salad provided by the Village Station at Sun Valley Resort and cookies, according to volunteer Liz Hickey.
Tables will be set up on the lawn in front of the church. There also will be meals-to-go for those who prefer that option.
Ketchum Community Dinner Curbside will continue through the summer with take-and-baked meals. The option of sit down meals will be held the first Wednesdays in June, July, August and September, according to Helen Morgus.
Volunteers at St. Thomas Episcopal Church have been serving meals curbside every Wednesday night since the last symphony season, trying to fill the void left by the shuttering of Souper Suppers and the former Ketchum Community Dinners at the Church of the Big Wood.
