The Sun Valley Culinary Institute has launched a nationwide search for a Chef Instructor to lead the institute into its next phase as a professional culinary institution.
Chef Naomi Everett, whose contract ends on June 12, will be returning to her home in Peters Creek, Alaska.
“Naomi has been a wonderful asset to the school and the community, and we wish her well on her new endeavor” says Mindy Meads, SVCI Board Chair.
The Institute has already been in communication with several chef candidates from around the country with the recruitment effort being led by SVCI Dean of Curriculum Chef Christopher Koetke.
“I am confident that the best chef to serve our needs will be in place for the start of the school year on September 24. We have already brought in a candidate to see our wonderful valley and our facility,” says Karl Uri, SVCI Director.
The Culinary Institute is currently recruiting local and visiting guest chefs to fill out the institute’s popular enthusiast cooking class schedule. Upcoming classes Include: June 10 Sweet & Savory Pastries with Pastry Chef Perla Anguiano; June 17 Indian Cuisine with Swati Bansal, and June 18 Bread Baking 101 with Vincent Carpenter.
