If you’re looking for a reason to be out and about enjoying Sun Valley’s pleasant evening nights, look no further than the Sun Valley Museum of Art.
The Museum is offering a free exhibition tour of its current visual arts exhibition, “Clay, Silver Ink: Sun Valley Center at 50,” at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. tonight—Thursday, June 17.
The exhibition, guest curated by ceramics artist Jim Romberg and photographer Peter de Lory, features artwork made by artists who taught at the former Sun Valley Center for the Arts in the 1970s and ‘80s. Many are nationally and internationally acclaimed.
“It’s remarkable to see this history compiled,” said SVMoA Artistic Director Kristin Poole. “The exhibition offers an opportunity to reflect on the role our organization played in launching the careers of dozens of artists and to trace the history of the organization itself, from a teaching institution to an accredited museum.”
Pre-registration is required at www.svmoa.org as space is limited. Another exhibition tour will be held at 4:30 and 5:30 p.m. Thursday, July 8.
