Go down the rabbit hole and pop up in Tuscany in the Garden when Boulder Mountain Clayworks stages its annual Tuscany on Tenth fundraiser.
The event will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, in the beautiful Sawtooth Botanical Garden, as it was last year.
This year’s theme is Alice in Wonderland.
“It’s extremely whimsical. We’ll have lots of items like teapots on the table. And some of the live auction items will be related to Alice,” said Lauren Street, the director of the popular nonprofit workspace in Ketchum.
There’ll be complimentary wine cups crafted by the potters at Boulder Mountain Clayworks, and wood-fired pizza from the Ketchum Grill Pizza Truck.
The live auction will include an Alice in Wonderland Totem and Tea Set crated by Studio Potters. The silent auction will feature additional creations from studio potters. And there will be raffle prizes, as well.
Brooke Seidl, who recently moved to the Wood River Valley from Boise, called Boulder Mountain Clayworks a treasure. Not only did she find a group of mentors ready to teach her the craft of pottery but she found an organization eager to give back to the community.
“Boulder Mountain Clayworks is special among pottery studios because it’s a nonprofit that gives back—to The Hunger Coalition, to Camp Rainbow Gold…”she said.
Tickets for Tuscany on Tenth are $75, available at www.bouldermtnclay.org. Checks may also be mailed to Box 3725, Ketchum, ID 83340 or orders can be placed at 208-726-4484.
Attendees are asked to RSVP by July 20. But there will be some tickets, available for $90, at the door.
