Wanted: Volunteers and ski gear for the Rotarun Ski Swap.

The Ski Swap will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 16, outdoors at Sturtevants in Hailey.

Powder hounds are encouraged to stock up on new ski gear and clothing and sell their old. Twenty-five percent of sales will support Rotarun programs and operations.

Admission to the Ski Swap is free; masks will be required. All marked good will be half-price during the final hour’s fire sale from 3 to 4 p.m.

"We are excited to bring the Ski Swap back to our community this year,” said Riley Berman, mountain manager at Rotarun. “It always feels like an official kick-off to getting ready and gearing up for the upcoming season, and it’s an opportunity for gently used gear to find a new home, while supporting our affordable youth snowsports programming. And, it’s a way for people to make a few extra dollars in the process.”

HOW TO TAKE PART IN THE ROTARUN SKI SWAP:

Pre-register your winter sports equipment and clothing online through at https://rotarun.org/events/2021-ski-swap/

  1. Your gear tags will be ready for you at drop-off. Otherwise, you can register your gear on the tablets provided at drop-off.
  2. Plan to drop off your gear from 2 to 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15 at Sturtevants in Ketchum (340 N Main Street) or Sturtevants in Hailey (1 Carbonate Street).
  3. Plan to pick up unsold gear on Sunday, Oct. 17 between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. at Sturtevants in Hailey. You may also donate unsold gear to Rotarun.
