Widening of Highway 75 will begin this week at Ohio Gulch Road north of Hailey.
A contractor for the Idaho Transportation Department will construct a right turn bay on the highway for northbound traffic turning onto Ohio Gulch Road.
Crews will also construct a northbound acceleration lane for motorists merging onto the highway from Ohio Gulch Road. Northbound traffic will be reduced to a single lane during construction.
The work is part of a larger project that will rehabilitate 5.7 miles of the crumbling highway from McKercher Boulevard to East Fork Road next spring.
Weather permitting, work is expected to be completed by Thanksgiving, said ITD District Engineer Jesse Barrus.
