Twelve artists will open their studios for the Artists’ Holiday Open Studio from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 26 and 27.
There will be art for sale at each location, and each artist will be happy to discuss their techniques and inspiration. Art will range from glass-blown balls and metal craft to painting and photography.
Fine jewelry artist Lisa Horton noted that the Open Studios will coincide with Black Friday and Small Business Saturday.
“In these days of molasses-speed supply chains and slowed-down shipping, it makes even more sense to shop locally from artists who have stock on hand ready to hand over to you,” she said.
David Rau is one of a couple artists who plan to open their studio on Sunday, as well.
“I hope people will come out and see the artists,” said Rau. “It’s fun to go to people’s studios and watch them work on their art. We have a valley full of great artists that really need to be promoted locally."
