We missed the first Free Ski Day in December because there was no snow on the ground. Well, there’s plenty of snow now.
The snowpack in the Big Wood Basin is 142 percent of average, to be exact.
And, so, the Blaine County Recreation District is offering the community the chance to Ski for Free on Sunday, Jan. 9.
On Sunday skiers and dogs are invited to ski for free on 160 kilometers of BCRD Nordic trails and snowshoe 36 kilometers of packed snowshoe trails.
Unfortunately, the BCRD has cancelled the annual Ski the Rails for the second straight year because of the pandemic, even though it’s outside. The in-person Boulder Mountain Tour is still on, however.
