Seattle singer/songwriter Norman Baker will make an encore performance at Ketchum’s Limelight Hotel from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 5.
Baker came of age listening to rap, grunge, alternative rock, heavy metal, punk and even gangsta. More recently, he added country twangs to his repertoire, inspired by country legends like Charley Pride and George Jones.
He calls his music “Barrel Aged Lumber Rock and Americana” and will show off a new single “Levon, the Singing Drummer” while in Ketchum as part of his acoustic tour.
“I’m related to Frank and Jesse James, William the Conqueror and Lawrence Welk. And I had relatives on the Mayflower,” he said. “Not that I benefit from any of these factoids.”
Baker performs more than 200 shows a year. He is releasing a new album soon that was co-produced by Jim Roth of Built to Spill. He also has few music videos in the works.
There is no cover charge for the concert, which is suitable for all ages.
