Ballet Sun Valley is offering a 2022 Ballet Sun Valley Dance Education program for intermediate, advanced/intermediate and advanced dance students in conjunction with its two performances featuring Boston Ballet on June 24 and 25.
The three-day intensive will be offered June 24-26 at the Community Campus and Gravity Fitness and will offer immersive dance instruction in ballet, contemporary dance, choreography, conditioning and more. It’s free, thanks to the support of Ballet Sun Valley sponsors
Students can immerse themselves in ballet, variations, pointe, conditioning and choreography. Teachers will include San Francisco Ballet Principal Dancers Tiit Helimets, Frances Chung, Sasha de Sola and former San Francisco Ballet Principal Dancers Sarah Van Patten, as well as others.
Students will receive complimentary tickets to performances by Boston Ballet in the Sun Valley Pavilion on the evenings of June 24 and June 25
“For the past three years I have had the privilege to teach at the Ballet Sun Valley summer intensive. This has been an incredible experience sharing what I have learned in my career and passing my knowledge onto the next generation of dancers,” said Helimets. “The students have been so wonderful, and it gives me such pleasure seeing them try all the steps with 100% effort. This kind of work ethic is any teacher's dream.”
