A fair number of Wood River Valley residents can identify with it—aging, that is.
Seniors make up a third of the population in the Wood River Valley, and that percentage is projected to grow.
That has led to the creation of the Blaine County Aging Friendly Committee, and they want to start the conversation.
The community is invited to join in a thoughtful discussion on intentional aging, end-of-life planning, life coaching, spirituality and more during a free panel discussion at 6 p.m. tonight--Thursday, Sept. 29--at Ketchum’s Community Library.
Panelists will include Carol Stephens, a geriatric psychologist and case manager; Jini Wilson, a licensed social worker with Hospice & Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley; Sherri Ditch, a life coach for adult children of aging parents; Jessica Harris, administrator and office manager for Cove of Cascadia assistive living facility in Bellevue, and the Rev. John Moreland of Light on the Mountains Center for Spiritual Living.
April Pina will offer interpretation for Spanish speakers.
