Record-Setting Quarterback Takes Helm of Wood River Wolverines

Sunday, August 25, 2019

Shane Carden—Wood River High School’s new football coach—set records as a quarterback for East Carolina University in Greenville, N.C.

He was named American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year during his time there from 2012 to 2014. And when he was signed out of college by the Chicago Bears he was rated the tenth best quarterback in the 2015 NFL draft.

Most recently, he played professionally with the Stuttgart Scorpions in Germany and for the Montreal Alouettes and the Baltimore Brigade where he was named the Arena Football League Rookie of the Year in 2017.

Meet Shane in today’s conversation with Eye on Sun Valley’s Michael David.
