Curious spider monkeys. Happy cats….Lisa Holley began illustrating botanicals after studying the works of 16th-century artist Guiseppe Arcimboldo, and soon she found a unique way of incorporating them in her “You Are What You Eat” series. She travels the world researching various animals and what she learns is often a surprise.
Meet Lisa in today’s Eye on Sun Valley video. You can also see her work at Vintage Restaurant in Ketchum and Towne and Parke Jewelers in Sun Valley Village. And you can even visit her in her Ketchum studio from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday through Sunday, Aug. 19-21 during the free Artists of the Wood River Valley Studio Tour.
Forty-one artists, including potters, glass artists, welders and painters, are opening their studios to show how their creative process works this weekend. Check it out in the map on the Artists’ ad in Eye on Sun Valley. Or visit https://artiststudiotour.com/locations/. Learn more about Lisa at https://lisaholley.com/.
