Wildcats Spike Wolverine Opener

Wednesday, August 30, 2017

BY MICHAEL DAVID

The Lady Wolverines volleyball dropped their home opener to the Filer Wildcats, 3-1, in front of a big crowd at Wood River High School.

After Filer won the opening set, the Wolverines bounced back, capturing the second set and tying the match 1-1. Filer jumped out to a big lead in the third set, and withstood a Wood River charge to take the set and build a 2-1 advantage.

In the final set, the Wildcats once again jumped out to an early lead. The Wolverines battled back, but their comeback fell short, giving Filer the fourth, and deciding, set.

The Lady Wolverines are back in action at home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 5, against the Jerome Tigers.
