Paralympic Day Opens Eyes

Tuesday, June 4, 2019

How would you paint if you were unable to use your arms or hands? Could you navigate your way around your school or workplace if your sight was severely limited?

Fifth-graders at Hemingway STEAM School got to discover these things for themselves last week when Higher Ground Sun Valley staged Paralympic Day.

Eye on Sun Valley’s Karen Bossick takes you there where she—and the students--learned that people with disabilities can do many of the same things that able-bodied people do….just differently.
