Sun Valley Community School State Champs-Reflecting on Success

Richard Whitelaw is the architect of one of the most successful soccer programs in the state. In the last four years, his Sun Valley Community School Cutthroats Boys Soccer teams have dominated the 3A division, reaching the state final in 2016 and the semi-finals in 2017, while capturing back-to-back state titles in 2018 and 2019.

 The head soccer coach and director of athletics for the Sun Valley Community School talks about this year’s title run and the players who put together this unprecedented run of success for Eye on Sun Valley.
