Swiftsure Horses, Pet Therapy Dogs Salute Health Care Workers

Monday, May 25, 2020

Cricket misses listening to second-graders try out their reading skills on her. Bella misses visiting patients in the hospital. And the horses at Swiftsure Ranch Therapeutic Riding Center are at loose ends since they have had no riders to nudge along to physical and mental health during the coronavirus pandemic.

But both dogs and horses got pushed into service this week to honor health care workers in a Memorial Day Week that will go down in history for its salute to first responders, along with those who have served in the military.

Watch as Eye on Sun Valley’s Karen Bossick takes you to the big salute outside St. Luke’s Wood River.
