Anne Jeffery worked as an assistant for Ansel Adams in Yosemite National Park before she made a career of shooting photographs of wildfires for the Boise Interagency Fire Center. Upon moving to the Wood River Valley, she began training her camera lens on sheep, wildflowers, birds and clouds, incorporating them into unique digital collages.
Anne is among 41 artists taking part in the Artists of the Wood River Valley Studio Tour through Sunday, Aug. 21. And she will be happy to show tourgoers how to use the computer to work with photos from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. today—Saturday, Aug. 20—at the pottery studio of EJ Harpham, 109 Lewalt Road south of Bellevue (that particular studio will not be open on Sunday).
Ketchum photographer Marybeth Flower, who is also opening her studio this weekend, said she is enamored with Jeffery’s work and, in fact, has one hanging in her home where she can look at it every day: “What she does is incredible—I would really like to learn how she does it.”
