A new art exhibit featuring the work of local artists is now on display in the upstairs hallways, which serve as an art gallery, at St. Luke’s Wood River.
The installation is made possible through the generosity of the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation and the artists themselves.
“The art brightens the halls and the spirits of patients, staff and visitors,” said Megan Tanous, chief development officer for St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation. “The works offer numerous benefits including comfort, distraction, cultural enrichment, an appealing environment and promotion of healing.”
The show features 18 local artists who are painters, printmakers, photographers and mixed media artists throughout the greater Wood River Valley region. The exhibit will be up until mid-August and is available for viewing during visiting hours from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
All visitors will need to obtain a guest badge upon entry.
Artists whose work is being displayed are Melissa Graves Brown, Sarah Davies, Brentano Haleen, Lee Higman, Kim Howard, Anne Jeffery, Jan Lassater, Annie May, Isabelle Moore, Holbrook Newman, William Pinney, Richard Rush, Becky Smith, Steve Smith, Marie Stewart, Jessica Streib, Mimi Stuart, Kathy Wagner and Bex Wilkinson.
