Dances choreographed by Justin Peck and Christopher Wheeldon will be among the pieces the Joffrey Ballet will present when it brings its dance to the mountains Saturday and Sunday.

The Chicago ballet, which is making its debut in Sun Valley, will perform at 7:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, June 29-30, at The Sun Valley Pavilion.

Each night will feature a different repertoire featuring works ranging from contemporary to neo-classical and classical.

“The works that drive us forward as a company are not all alike, and, in the two programs we are bringing, we revel in the opportunity to show many different sides to our dancing to the Sun Valley audience,” said Ashley Wheater, the artistic director of The Joffrey Ballet.

SATURDAY’S PROGRAM:

Yonder Blue--Choreographed by Andrew McNicol; Music by Peter Gregson

Round of Angels--Choreographed by Gerald Arpino; Music by Gustav Mahler
