Dress up and dance the night away during the 44th annual Firefighters’ Ball.
Ketchum and Sun Valley firefighters are holding their annual ball Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Ketchum Limelight Hotel. Doors open at 7 p.m.; the music by DJ locomotive starts at 8.
Tickets are $30 with funds raised going to the fire departments. Previous funds have gone to purchase personal flotation devices, a lightweight titanium litter, provide gloves and headlamps for rescues, hire experts to instruct rope rescue classes and advanced swift water training and secure airtime for aerial rescue apparatus.
Tickets may be purchased online at https://www.ksvva.org/ or at the door.
Tax-deductible donations may also be made to the Ketchum/Sun Valley Volunteer Association at Box 1262, Ketchum, ID 83340 or online at https://www.ksvva.org/.
Donations will provide advanced firefighting, emergency medical and technical rescue training. They will equip firefighters with protective clothing and tools and purchase new equipment for handling wildland fires, structure fires, motor vehicle accidents, backcountry rescues and avalanches. They also will support the Victim Relief Fund, which provides food, clothing and housing necessities for fire victims.
