St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation board has approved just over $150,000 in funding for several internal initiatives to improve health care and keep staff morale high.

The Foundation has approved:

+++Mammography training for an imaging team member

+++ LSVT BIG certification for an occupational therapist working with patients with Parkinson’s disease

+++An American College of Lifestyle Medicine membership for the Rehabilitation staff to integrate evidence-base lifestyle interventions into care

+++Construction in the Physician Office Annex to remodel Suite 109 to add exam rooms to accommodate expanded wound care services

+++Support for the annual joint meeting of physicians and nurses to foster collaboration and improvement in clinical quality.

The foundation has also funded ski passes for staff and physicians as a morale-boosting benefit to help retain and refresh caregivers during the busy winter season.

“Together, these ‘small things that make a big difference’ enhance the patient experience, elevate clinical expertise, and build a resilient care environment,” said Megan Tanous, chief development director of the St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation.
