A Prohibition Party at the Warfield. A chance to be the “12th man” at a Seattle Seahawks game. A Valentine’s lovefest at Gastrolab.

These are among the hot auction items that will be up for grabs at The Advocates’ Black & White Soiree.

The Soiree will be held from 6 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, June 28, at Trail Creek Pavilion.

The evening includes dinner and drinks, a golden ticket raffle, live auction with auctioneer Greg Quiroga and dancing to the music of the Big Wow Band.

And, of course, a chance to raise your paddle in support of the effort to stomp out domestic violence, sexual assault and bullying in the Wood River Valley.

Founded in 1991, The Advocates offer a variety of services including safe housing, life skills training and counseling. They also offer prevention education workshops to teach teenagers and others how to cultivate safe healthy dating relationships and how to intervene when someone is harassing another.

During the last fiscal year, The Advocates provided client services to 579 adults and children, said Tricia Swartling, The Advocates CEO. Staff answered nearly 9,000 calls for help and provided 4,739 nights of safety to survivors of abuse.

The Advocates are currently building 18 transitional safe housing apartments and a new client services center on River Street in Hailey. They need $2 million more to complete the project.

The Prohibition Party, which is among the auction lots, can be staged in your home with a selection of different beers to sample, as well as a chance to create your own home brew and design labels. Assorted Speakeasy decor and dress up accessories will be provided, as well as beer brewing lessons and a case of your special beer with its custom labels.

The Valentine’s Lovefest involves an intimate multi-course feast provided by Ketchum’s hottest new kitchen a private event space. The Seahawks lot includes two round trip flights from Sun Valley to Seattle, a two-night stay at the Washington Athletic Club, two tickets to a Seahawks game and a $150 gift card for Torchy’s Restaurant.

There’ll be a summer pampering package with everything you need to enjoy a Sun Valley summer in style from a guided mountain bike or hike for eight, an overnight at a yurt, guided fly-fishing expedition and year-long pass for Zenergy Health Club and Spa.

And, of course, it wouldn’t do to celebrate summer in style and not an Epic Winter. That pass includes a Sun Valley Resort season ski pass and parking pass, dinner for two at a Galena Full Moon dinner, backcountry skiing trip for two and outfits to let you do it all in style.

Other auction lots include a three-night stay for two in San Francisco with dinner at State Bird Provisions, a private docent tour of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and premium orchestra seats for “Hamilton.”

Also, a trip to Baja, a wine tour of Talbott Vineyards in Carmel Valley and a two-night stay at The Lodge at Blue Sky, a new luxury resort about to open outside Park City.

Tickets to the Soiree are $175, available at www.theadvocatesorg.org or by calling 208-788-4191, extension 22.

Those who wish to make proxy bids on live auction items can do so by contacting Shannon Nichols at shannon@theadvocatesorg.org.
