Barbara Rae-Venter mesmerized her audience last time she spoke in Ketchum as she told how her journey researching her family history ended up fingering a notorious serial killer.
Now this former amateur DNA sleuth is back to tell more stories at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, at The Community Library. The program is being held in partnership with Dent, a conference that gives those wishing to make a difference examples of visionary leadership and groundbreaking success.
Rae-Venter became the nation’s leading authority on investigative genetic genealogy when her methodology was used to solve the case of the Golden State Killer, who killed without remorse before disappearing for 45 years.
Rae-Venter will tell thrilling accounts of how she helped solve some of America’s most chilling cold cases. Her genetic genealogy, the most dazzling new crime-fighting weapon to appear in decades, was also a major tool in fingering Bryan Kohberger as the alleged murderer of four University of Idaho students.
Rae-Venter is the author of “I Know Who You Are,” which describes her careful approach to her work.
She will be joined in conversation by Steve Broback of Dent. And a book signing will follow.
To attend in person, RSVP at https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/10110048. The event also will be livestreamed and available to watch later at https://vimeo.com/event/3182911.
