Kick off your Thanksgiving Day with about 500 other people in the 20th annual Turkey Trot.

The Thanksgiving fun run/walk tradition, started by Darryl and Mary Fauth, will start and finish Thursday, Nov. 23, at Hailey Town Center West behind the Hailey Library. The first wave heads out at 9:30 a.m.; the second, at 10:30 a.m.

People—and dogs on leash--are welcome to run or walk a course that winds through the Draper Wood River Preserve. And, of course, you’re welcome to dream of all the calories from the day’s Thanksgiving  turkey and pumpkin pie are melting away even before you eat them.

Trotters can pre-register until Wednesday, Nov. 22, at https://haileywoodriverchamber.enmotive.com/events/register/turkey-trot-2023/.

The cost is $25 for those 11 and older, $60 for a family of four $120 for a family of eight and $15 for youth 10 and under. Participants will be topped off with Turkey Trot 2023 caps.
