Learn about partnerships and policies that can support housing opportunities in the Wood River Valley during a free presentation titled “Creating Housing Opportunities for All: Market Failures, Impacts and Effective Responses.”
The program will feature Vanessa Fry, a former Wood River Valley resident who is now with Boise State University’s Idaho Policy Institute. She will be joined by Carissa Connelly, Ketchum’s housing director.
The program will start at 5:30 p.m. tonight—Tuesday, Dec. 5—at Ketchum’s Community Library. It can be seen in person by signing up at https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/11198091. It also will be livestreamed and recorded to watch later at https://vimeo.com/event/3883868.
Fry will discuss market failures and employee generation, impacts of housing crises on communities, households and individuals; and the geographic scope and scale of an effective housing response.
Fry worked on local housing and transportation issues in the Wood River Valley with citizens for Smart Growth and Community Transportation Association of Idaho while living in the Wood River Valley.
