Kathryn Caminiti’s new studio Fit Me SV covers it all, she says.
“The whole idea is Fit Me—Fit Body, Fit Mind,” she said.
Caminiti recently cut the ribbon on her new shop. It’s sandwiched between Habitat, a new veterinary clinic that replaced longtime veterinarian Karsten Fostvedt’s St. Francis Animal Clinic, and Halsey’s Photo Shop in the shopping mall across from Knob Hill.
P.S. It’s a couple doors down from Lizzy’s Coffee, in case you like to finish your workout with a caffeine buzz.
The new studio uses mat Pilates, which helps strengthen core and, in the process, abs, lungs, back, butt and hips.
“It makes you stronger because you don’t have the assistance of a machine,” said Caminiti. “It’s great for the people of this valley who are already active and fit, and it’s great for others who are coming back from injuries or who want to prevent injuries.”
Kathryn seemed destined for this, said her father Bob Caminiti as he celebrated the grand opening. She started out in ballet and then began studying various Pilates, yoga Barre spin and Laree practices.
Some workshops focus on different parts of the body with 30-minute workouts focused on the core and the arms. Body mat Pilates classes last 45 minutes, and there’s even a Boys Pilate class. People can drop in or purchase memberships.
The class is located at 491 10th St. E. in Ketchum. For more information, visit https://www.fitmesv.com/, write kat@fitmesv.com or call 949-887-4105.
