BY KAREN BOSSICK

A discussion on recovery will be offered on Thursday, Sept. 19, by Men’s Second Chance Living and the Community library.

The program, “Recovery is a Family Affair,” will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 19, at the library. It will feature Doug and Neely Lyons of Clere Consulting.

Clere Consulting, based in Minnesota, provides case management, recovery coaching, interventions, family business advising, monitoring, companion services and workshops and training. It’s motto: “The opposite of addiction is not sobriety—it’s human connection.”

Staff believe that the education and care of families is the key, and often it is the missing ingredient in long-term success for families dealing with addiction.

Doug Lyons is a former director of Clinical Services for the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. Neely Lyons is a lawyer and recovery coach with Clere Consulting and a former State Senator.

To see the program in person, RSVP at https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/12292352. The program also will be livestreamed and available to watch later at https://vimeo.com/event/4574197.
