Kick off your skis and take up your tennis racquet. A special Winter Tennis Camp is coming to Gravity Fitness & Tennis.

Gravity Fitness & Tennis is partnering with Wood River Tennis to offer a special camp for women rated 3.5-4.5.

The camp will be held Feb. 28-March 2. It’ll be held from 4 to 6 pm. Friday, Feb. 28, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 1 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Gravity Fitness in Hailey.

It will feature three visiting tennis professionals associated with Newcombe Tennis Ranch in Texas. The ranch, founded in 1968 by world champion John Newcombe, is nestled in the Hill Country of Texas. It offers year-round junior tennis camps, adult tennis vacations and a world-class tennis academy.

The tennis pros will serve up 12 hours of doubles strategy, tactics, court and net positioning for Wood River Valley tennis players, in addition to holding “Chalk Talk,” coach’s feedback and more.

Lunch will be included. The number of participants is limited to provide a maximum 6:1 player-to-coach ratio for individualized feedback.

“Gravity is excited to carry on its reputation of quality tennis programming with this new weekend camp," said Oliver Whitcomb, director of operations at Gravity Fitness and Tennis. "Players will have use of all three of our indoor tennis courts, providing plenty of time to practice, compete and receive on-court instruction. It's a great way for players to level-up their game in a fun and focused way."

Special early-bird pricing for Gravity members is $600 through Jan. 24. Afterwards, it’s $650.
