Friedman Memorial Airport Holds Artists’ Reception on Wednesday

Constance Baltuck does both representational and abstract work inspired by nature, color and imagination. She has had residencies in Alaska, Norway and Arizona, and she is studying the Romanian language.

BY KAREN BOSSICK Take part in a Gallery Walk of another sort Wednesday when the Friedman Memorial Airport holds an artists’ reception for its new exhibition. The event will start at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 21. There will be hors d’oeuvres and beverages and parking will be validated. The newest exhibition features a wealth of wonderful art treasures, many of which have been created by Wood River Valley’s talented cadre of artist.

New Zealand-born artist Marie Stewart incorporates primitive and modern forms using pointillism and tools in her Living Artist Studio in Bellevue.
|
|
|
New contributors include Carrie Cornils and Eileen Shelly. And those who helped organize the tour tell us you don’t want to miss the art in the former bus waiting lobby at the south side of the airport terminal. Art exhibitions remain up for six months and are designed to enhance the pleasure of travelers, as well as those dropping off or picking up visitors. And, if you find a piece you like, it may be for sale!
