Learn about the challenges facing national forests and how partners like the National Forest Foundation are tackling those challenges at 5 tonight—Monday, July 14—at Ketchum’s Community Library.

Dieter Fenkart-Froeschi, president and CEO of the National Forest Foundation will present an overview of the history of public land. And he will talk about the innovation and community collaboration being used to steward public lands into the future.

The National Forest Foundation became an integral part of the Wood River Valley when Lynn Campion and others invited the organization to help the community build back its public lands following the 2013 Beaver Creek Fire.

It since has been a key player along with Sun Valley Resort and others in a multi-year project to make forests healthier on Bald Mountain, one of the premier ski areas in the world.

To see the presentation in person, RSVP at https://thecommunitylibrary.libcal.com/event/14739976. The event will also be recorded and available to watch later on the library’s Event Archive.
