Attention, bicycle commuters:

Parts of Sun Valley’s multi-use path will be closed temporarily between Monday, Sept. 8, and Friday, Sept. 12.

Asphalt sealing will be done on the path running from the tunnel near Highway 75 through to Elkhorn Springs and ending at the intersection beneath Sun Valley City Hall and Dollar Mountain.

The path will reopen once the treatment is cured. Walking or riding on the path too soon after it’s treated will damage the seal and can cause damage to bikes and shoes, as well as puppy paws.

NOT JUST IN SUN VALLEY

Multi-use path seal coating is taking place on Warm Springs Road from Saddle Road to Gates Road through Friday, Sept. 5.

Bicyclists also need to be careful where the path crosses River Ranch Road south of Ketchum this week as crews are relocating utilities.

Once the utilities are relocated, crews will rebuild the roadway in that area. Work on the road is expected to be completed in late fall 2025.
