A costumed pet parade and a Trunk or Treat in Ketchum will join Hailey’s Halloween Hoopla and other Halloween events as the Wood River Valley ramps up for a spooktacular day of imaginative costumes and chocolate bites.
J.McLaughlin will join hands with Mountain Humane to host a Halloween Paw-ty from noon to 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31. The event will include a pet parade to Ketchum Town Square at 2 p.m. There’ll be a costume contest and treat-filled goodie bags for the doggies, plus Halloween candy and snacks for adults.
“We have adorable loaner dog costumes, too!” said Sarah Howe, the store manager. “And we’ll be giving back a percentage of sales from the day to Mountain Humane. Our gorgeous fall collection is here and our shop is full of cashmere, signature short/sleeved puffers, velvet jeans and cozy layers—all perfect for upgrading Fall Sun Valley wardrobes.”
Following the pet fun, The American Legion will throw its annual Trunk or Treat in its parking lot at 220 Cottonwood St. in Ketchum.
American Legion supporters and representatives of Ketchum Fire Department and Ketchum Police Department will hand out treats from 5 to 7 p.m. And the hall will be open so attendees can see the renovations Legion members have made to the facility over the past couple years.
