Chuck pumpkins, press apples into cider, take part in a lantern walk and enjoy a free hearty soup dinner Thursday night.

The Sage School/Mental Well Being Community Harvest Dinner—meant to bring adults and youth together over fun activities—will be held from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 20, at Sage School in Hailey’s Quigley Canyon.

It’ll kick off with fun activities, such as apple cider pressing, lantern making, trebuchet pumpkin chucking, kids activities and a chance to peruse the Sage Market.

A free hearty soup dinner will be served from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and the evening will conclude with a bonfire and lantern walk at 7:30 p.m.

This is the second such event that Matt Leidecker and the Sage School have sponsored. They held a Full Moon Community Dinner, Nordic ski and bonfire in February 2025.

Leidecker said he was organizing the event in conjunction with the Mental Well-Being Initiative as a means of bringing community together to socialize and get to know one another while participating in healthy activities and enjoying a healthy meal.
