The Wood River Orchestra is priming the flutes and tuning up the violins for the orchestra’s popular Holiday Concert and Fundraiser.
The concert will be at 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, at The Argyros. And, while admission is free as always, you might want to get your tickets now as there are only a limited number available.
Last year every last one got snapped up.
Cabaret tables for four are available for $250 and come with a bottle of festive cheer. They’re also in the crosshairs of the snowball fights that have become a cherished tradition of the holiday concert.
Doors will open at 3 p.m. so that concertgoers can bid on an array of silent auction items donated by orchestra members and the community. Money raised from sales helps the orchestra buy sheet music, keep instruments in tip-top shape and rent auditorium space for concerts.
There also will be an array of homemade cookies baked by orchestra members to nibble on.
This year’s sponsors are Young Construction and the Windermere Foundation, along with Rixon + Cronin.
